Hi. Great to connect! I'm  Les. 

My wife Debbie and I both grew up in Kansas. We have two grown children. We invested twenty years in pastoral ministry in Kansas. After serving fourteen years in our previous church, we both felt called by the LORD to Indiana. The way was opened to us at First Baptist Church in Bluffton. We have served at FBC since January 1, 2013.

Three words that describe me and my ministry style pretty well are organized, communicator, and excellence. Those who know me recognize the Holy Spirit has given me the gift of administration. I have the God-given capacity to coordinate a multitude of people and activities to make things run more smoothly and effectively. In keeping with this gift, my preaching is never just a bunch of vague ramblings. My messages usually focus on a single passage of Scripture and concentrate on one main idea. I use power point slides, an occasional video clip, and relevant illustrations to reinforce this central theme. Supporting my drive for both organization and communication is a deep desire for excellence. I challenge myself and this church body to give our best effort in everything - for God’s glory. Debbie became the church secretary in July, 2014 and is a huge blessing to me and this church family. Debbie also enjoys teaching our youth.
