Statement of Faith
We claim the Creator-God as our heavenly Father, infinitely perfect, and intimately acquainted with all our ways. He is the giver and sustainer of all life. He alone holds the keys to life and death.
We proclaim Jesus Christ as God and our supreme authority. He is the second Person of the Godhead who came in flesh and who shed his blood on the cross to take away our sin. He is the object of our worship and the subject of our praise.
We recognize the Holy Spirit as God, the third Person of the Godhead, also with the Father and the Son. He comes to live in believers the moment they place their faith in Jesus Christ for forgiveness. He works continuously convicting people of their sin, convincing them of their need for Christ, comforting followers of Jesus, and empowering believers to proclaim Christ and live in victory.
We affirm our confidence in the Bible as the inspired Word of God. With this confidence we therefore affirm that God created the physical universe from nothing, the virgin birth of Jesus, the miracles of Christ, and the bodily resurrection of the Lord after he had been dead for three days.
We confess that Adam's sin left humanity without hope of heaven apart from a new birth, which is made possible only by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the offer of salvation is God's love gift to all people. The first evidence of God's call is a willingness to repent or turn away from our sins. Those who place their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of their sin, apart from works, are forgiven and receive eternal life.
We anticipate our Lord's promised visible return in power and glory. In view of His return we seek to please the Lord in all of life. We endeavor to forsake sin and seek to please the Lord with pure thoughts, godly attitudes, and righteous actions. We will work hard to LOVE THE LORD AND LOVE OTHERS at every opportunity while we eagerly await His coming.
We are convinced that all that have died will be brought to face final judgment - believers to eternal communion with God and unbelievers to eternal separation from God.
